A minimalist wall art print in the style of an exhibition poster: bold black outlines of interlocking shapes on pale cream, titled in classic serif capitals.
About the artwork
A tall rounded rectangle and a horizontal oval overlap at the centre, and a longer outline drops from them like the shape of a vase or a standing stone. The lines weave over and under each other where they cross, the way links in a chain do. Each outline is heavier on its right side and base, which reads almost like a cast shadow. Nothing is filled in; the cream ground shows through every shape. “GALERIE D’ART / MODERNE” sits across the top and “COLLECTION L’EXPOSITION” runs along the bottom.
Why you'll love it
- Exhibition-poster feel. The serif titling gives a simple shape a finished look.
- Bold line, calm palette. Black on cream is graphic without being harsh.
- Easy to group. Fits right into a gallery wall of poster-style prints.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Put it in a living room, study or entry where an exhibition-style poster feels at home. It works with leather, walnut and stacks of books, and it holds its own in a grid of black-and-white prints. A black frame suits the heavy outline; natural oak softens it. Pair it with the drooping-flower poster in this range, which uses the same style of titling.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the text say? “GALERIE D’ART MODERNE” at the top and “COLLECTION L’EXPOSITION” at the bottom, in French serif capitals.
Is it a real exhibition poster? No — the French titling is decorative and does not refer to a specific show.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Damage, defects & care
Every piece is printed for you after you order, so we cannot take a print back for a change of mind — please check the size and material first. Our Size Guide shows every size drawn to scale.

Keep artwork out of direct sunlight. Wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Handle paper prints by the edges until they are framed.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
