This Bern, Switzerland watercolor print shows the lacy spire of Bern Minster above the Old Town rooftops, with Nydegg Bridge crossing the turquoise Aare River and roses blooming on the Rosengarten terrace. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Bern, Switzerland, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine brown ink draws the Minster's lacework stone spire and the tiled roofs of Bern Old Town in close detail, and the Aare is turquoise with horizontal ripples. Turquoise river, gray-green sandstone, red-brown roofs and leafy green set the base, with pink roses, a red bus on the bridge and a green copper spire as accents. The Minster tower stands on the left with its spire in the upper third, and the Old Town's roofs follow the bend of the river. On the right an arched stone bridge crosses the Aare near a green-spired church, while a rose garden with benches and a stone balustrade fills the foreground. It is early summer, with wooded hills behind and pink and gold drips on the left edge. "BERN" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Bern, Switzerland? No. It is an artistic interpretation that gathers the Minster, the Old Town, the bridge and the rose terrace into one view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BERN," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
