A safari nursery wall art print of a cheerful baby lion sitting with its legs stretched out, centered in a cream oval over soft grey and cream stripes.
About the artwork
The cub has a round face with rosy cheeks, a dark little nose and a wide smile, framed by a fluffy tan mane with a few strands of sage green mixed in. It sits upright with its front paws together, back legs spread wide and a tufted tail curling up behind. The oval is plain cream with a thin brown outline. Outside it, even vertical stripes in pale grey and cream run from top to bottom, like a classic wallpaper, all in a soft painted look.
Why you'll love it
- Classic stripes. Grey and cream give a tailored, calm backdrop.
- A happy face. The smiling cub brightens the room without bright colors.
- Built for a set. It matches the other striped safari animals.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Place it above a white crib or a grey dresser, framed in white or natural oak for a light look, or black for sharper contrast. It suits a safari nursery with jute rugs and plush animals. Build a row with the other grey-striped oval prints in this range, such as the elephant and the stacked animals.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Are the stripes part of the print? Yes, the striped background and the oval outline are printed.
Is it suitable for a boy or a girl? It suits either; the palette is neutral grey, cream and tan.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
