This Asheville watercolor print shows Biltmore House at the end of its long lawn, framed by fall trees and the layered Blue Ridge Mountains. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Asheville, not an exact view of the area.
About the artwork
Very fine ink lines draw the carved dormer windows, chimneys, spires and the open spiral stair tower. The lawn is layered in green with mowing stripes, and the Blue Ridge ridges fade back in blue-violet with orange fall color. The palette is pale cream limestone and blue-gray slate with lawn green, accented by gold, orange and red autumn woods, smoky Blue Ridge blue and blue pool water. The house sits in the center with its roofs and spires in the upper middle, the long Esplanade lawn leads straight to it, and a drive with a carriage runs on the right. The Italian Garden pools and a stone balustrade fill the right foreground, and autumn trees frame both sides in mid-fall. "ASHEVILLE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Carriage on the drive. A horse-drawn carriage rolls along the gravel drive.
- Lily pad pools. Garden pools with lily pads sit beside planters on the stone balustrade.
- Small domed glasshouse. A little domed conservatory sits beside the house.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The warm fall palette suits a living room, a den or a dining room with brown leather, cream and rust tones. It is a lovely gift for an autumn anniversary or anyone who loves the North Carolina mountains.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Asheville? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the estate and the mountains around Asheville, painted for mood rather than precise detail.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "ASHEVILLE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
