Coffee Bar Wall Decor Ideas: Prints for Your Coffee Nook

Coffee Bar Wall Decor Ideas: But First Coffee, Here for the Coffee and Coffee Club brewer grid prints in oak frames above a navy butler's pantry coffee bar with a chrome espresso machine

Last updated September 30, 2026

The best coffee bar wall decor ideas start with the wall you actually have: one bold print above the machine on a narrow counter, a leaned pair behind the grinder on a wide one, a trio on the wall beside a breakfast bar. Below are 25 coffee prints from $26, sorted by the kind of nook they suit, with the size to buy for each width of counter.

How much wall a coffee bar gives you

A coffee bar is rarely a whole wall. It is the 30 inches between the upper cabinet and the counter, the end of a kitchen run, a dresser in the hallway or a cart in the home office. The National Coffee Association's Spring 2026 report found that 66% of American adults had coffee the previous day and that 82% of those drinkers made it at home (NCA, April 2026), which is why the coffee corner has turned into a room of its own. The art has to fit that corner, not the other way round. Measure the clear wall first, then use the table.

Clear wall width What fits Size to order Paper price
Under 24 in (60 cm) – a shelf or a single cabinet bay 1 print, leaned 8" x 12" or A4 $26
24–40 in (60–100 cm) – above a two-group machine 1 print, hung 12" x 16" or 12" x 18" $31 / $33
40–60 in (100–150 cm) – a coffee cart or a dresser 2 prints, 3 in apart 2 × 12" x 16" $62 (−7% automatic)
60 in (150 cm) and wider – the wall beside a breakfast bar 3 prints in a row, or 1 large 3 × 12" x 18", or 1 × 18" x 24" $99 (−10%) / $45

All 25 prints below are portrait and come in 13 sizes, from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", on archival matte paper, matte canvas or framed canvas. Every one of them is in the coffee wall art collection, so a set you start now can be added to later without the styles clashing.

11 coffee bar wall decor ideas, with the print for each

Each idea below is built around a print that exists, described from the artwork itself, with the nook it suits. Mix two or three ideas if the bar is big; take one if it is a shelf.

1. One print above the machine, in the colour of the machine

The espresso machine is the biggest object on the counter, so the print above it should answer it rather than compete. Here for the Coffee is drawn in a single deep plum-red crayon, thick and grainy, with two tiny figures standing inside a two-group machine and drinking straight from the spouts; nothing is filled in but the outline, and three coffee-bean shapes stand in for the buttons. On a subway-tiled wall above a chrome or black machine the red reads from across the kitchen. Order 12" x 16" ($31) for a 30-inch bay; it leaves 9 inches of tile either side.

2. Lean it, do not hang it, when the counter is deep

A 25-inch counter with a machine, a grinder and a kettle has no free wall at eye level, but it has a back edge. A leaned print at 8" x 12" or 12" x 16" sits behind the grinder, hides the outlet and can be moved when you clean. Two prints in the same warm palette do this well. More Coffee stacks three patterns at three scales, wide pink stripes, one wavy pale-pink line and a fine blue check on the single mug in the centre, so the cool mug pulls the eye first. Wanna Some Coffee? is the quieter one: two faceless figures in a faded red line, one climbing a ladder propped against a cup the size of furniture, the other carrying a cup that fits in a hand.

3. The moka pot pair for a stovetop bar

If the bar is a stovetop and a moka pot rather than a machine, hang the pot. These two are the same object drawn two ways, which is the point of putting them together. Coffee Moka Pot is cobalt ink with wide margins: some faces of the pot are solid blue, others built from loose diagonal hatching, with a small red label at the waist and the words first sip ringed by a hand-drawn red ellipse. Coffee Time is the vintage answer, a warm brown pot with its eight facets ruled in, boxed inside a thick dark-brown border on cream the way an old advertisement would frame its subject. Brown on cream dates it; the same drawing in black would read modern. Hang the cobalt one in the kitchen and the brown one on a shelf in the room where you drink it.

4. A brewer chart for the person who owns every brewer

Some coffee bars are a collection: a French press, a pour-over cone, a moka pot, a kettle with a gooseneck. Coffee Club is a three-by-three specimen chart of nine brewing devices drawn in black line on cream, each at the same weight in an equal cell, with coffee club handwritten underneath as the only thing that breaks the grid. The drawings are accurate enough that coffee people will name all nine. Pair it with Caffe Chemex, a pour-over flask in green crayon with a bow tied at its waist, a paper filter rising higher than the glass, a rounded blue sans at the top and a fast pink brush script at the foot. The chart goes in the kitchen at 12" x 18" ($33); the single brewer suits the office coffee cart.

5. Say it in French: the café corner

Three prints with French on them make a corner feel like a counter in a town you once had breakfast in. Checkered Teacups stacks two hand-painted checked cups on blue grid paper, the tone wandering square by square, only the top cup holding coffee, with a French line written on clean cream where the grid stops. Petit Déjeuner is a one-ink green still life in a gallery-poster layout: a lidded takeaway cup, a printed tote bag, a croissant on a plate and dried flowers, shaded with short repeated strokes. Bonjour Café is three flat colours, a mustard stovetop pot drawn taller than life beside a cobalt cup, inside a freehand border with visible wobble. Hang all three at 12" x 16" in a row, 3 inches apart, and the row is 42 inches wide.

6. Add the pastry

A breakfast bar is coffee and something baked, and three prints draw exactly that. Coffee Club lays a croissant straight across the mouth of a cup in cobalt with turmeric slipped between the layers, two solid cobalt shadows thrown off to the left and right clearly out of register, and the word CLUB cutting straight across the saucer. Wanna Get Coffee and a Croissant balances the croissant on the rim with no saucer at all, in red ink, with a lopsided heart-shaped handle and the lettering curving over the top in cobalt marker. Coffee & Pastries is the loud one: deep pink capitals with a croissant, a green moka pot and a blue cup in thick black outline, flat colour, legible from across the room. If the bar sits by the toaster, this is the trio; the pastry theme continues in the bakery wall art collection.

7. A line you can read from the doorway

One quote print above the bar does the job of a sign. Good Coffee Is Like Friendship puts a moka pot and two low tumblers in green line between two lines of red script above and two below: rich and warm and strong. Volume is handled in one move, a block of solid green on one side of each object, and the pot stands on nothing, which keeps the sheet light. It sits well above a dining table where the second cup is poured, and at 16" x 24" ($40) the script reads from the door. Keep it to one quote per corner; two start to shout.

8. Match the print to the tile

A tiled splashback gives you the colour for free. Pick the print whose dominant colour is the tile, and the bar looks planned. Coffee Pink Check is a pink cup with a red check that bends to follow the curve of the body, a detached floating handle and a wavy cream panel on mint green with fine white speckle; on pink tile it disappears into the wall in the best way. Breakfast Club is a white-line drawing on solid grass green, the tray, the cup and the croissant existing only as paper showing through, with the opening hours stacked beside the lettering; against olive tile the two greens read as one. Have a Cup of Coffee is turmeric yellow lettering around an orange striped cup of wildflowers, wrapped in an orange wave border, made for a yellow wall.

9. Put a face at the bar

Most coffee art is objects. Two prints with people in them change the mood of a corner. Morning Coffee Is The Best draws three figures from behind, hunched along a bar counter at different angles in brown line, under heavy red capitals that run out of room and repeat THE BEST twice. Coffee Is Always a Good Idea is a woman in cat-eye glasses and a high bun holding a cup and saucer at chest height in one cobalt ink, her hair and top solid blocks, her face and hands open outline, two lines of red script below with one word ringed in blue. The first belongs over a counter with stools; the second over the sideboard where the cups live.

10. The odd one out for a bar outside the kitchen

A coffee station in a hallway, a studio or a living room can take a print that is not kitchen art at all. Black Cat Coffee Mug is a grumpy-faced black cat in a navy and cream Breton top, holding a striped orange mug of black coffee on a brushy saffron-yellow ground, fine white whiskers the only detail on the face. Pink Striped Coffee Cup is watercolour: hot-pink stripes running vertically on the cup and diagonally on the saucer, a little uneven as hand-painted ceramics are, with plenty of cream space above. Both come from the eclectic side of the store and both hang happily in a hallway under a pendant or beside a sofa.

11. One line for a nook the size of a tray

When the bar is a corner of a console with a kettle and two cups, the print has to be quiet. Little Espresso is drawn without lifting the pen: one orange line loops and doubles back to make the cup, the saucer and the handle in a single stroke, with LITTLE above and ESPRESSO below in hollow orange capitals of the same weight. One colour on cream, 8" x 12" ($26), leaned on the console beside the cups. It is the print for a rented flat or a desk where the coffee is a small ritual rather than a hobby.

Paper or canvas next to a kettle

Three finishes, one rule: keep the print out of the steam path. Archival matte paper is the cheapest way to try an idea, from $26 at 8" x 12", and under glass it wipes clean; hang it beside the machine rather than directly above the steam wand. Matte canvas has no glass, so there is no glare from under-cabinet lights, and it is the finish for the wall behind a breakfast bar where the print is seen from an angle; 12" x 16" is $64. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang in white, black, espresso or natural and suits the dining side of the bar. For the height above a counter and the gap to leave under a cabinet, the size guide has the measurements. A coffee station that is only a moka pot and a few cups, like the dresser below, is the easy case: paper under glass, hung on the wall behind, with nothing steaming beneath it.

Three layouts that work above a counter

A coffee bar wall is short and wide, so layouts that work above a sofa do not transfer. These three do.

  1. One print, centred on the machine. Centre the print on the machine, not on the wall, and keep its bottom edge 6–8 in (15–20 cm) above the counter so the kettle lid clears it. 12" x 16" or 12" x 18" for a 30–40 in bay.
  2. A pair, 3 in apart, hung level. Two 12" x 16" prints with a 3 in (8 cm) gap span 27 in and sit well above a 40–60 in cart or dresser. Two prints in one order take 7% off automatically, so the pair is $57.66 on paper.
  3. A row of three, or three staggered up the wall. Three 12" x 18" prints 3 in apart run 42 in wide beside a breakfast bar; three or more prints take 10% off, so the trio is $89.10. On a narrow wall stagger them upward instead, each print 2 in higher than the last, following the line of the stair or the cabinet.

Hanging a bigger set, or mixing a coffee print with the kitchen wall art on the next wall, follows the same spacing; the step-by-step is in How to Hang a Gallery Wall of Travel Posters. If the bar is a gift for someone else's kitchen, the pairs and sets in Gifts for Coffee Lovers are chosen to go together. Below, the row-of-three layout in a real breakfast bar: three prints from the same warm palette, hung level in matching oak, with the kettle and cups on the counter underneath.

Coffee bar wall decor FAQ

What should I hang above a coffee bar?

One print centred on the machine, in a colour the machine or the tile already has. For a 30–40 inch bay a 12" x 16" ($31) or 12" x 18" ($33) portrait print fits; for a shelf, lean an 8" x 12" ($26) behind the grinder instead of hanging it.

How high should coffee bar art hang above the counter?

Leave 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) between the counter and the bottom of the frame so the kettle lid and the steam wand clear it, and centre the print on the machine rather than on the wall. The full height and spacing rules are in our size guide.

Is paper or canvas better for a kitchen coffee bar?

Archival matte paper under glass is the least expensive and wipes clean; hang it beside the machine, not over the steam wand. Matte canvas has no glass and no glare under cabinet lights, so it suits the wall behind a breakfast bar seen from an angle. Framed canvas comes ready to hang in white, black, espresso or natural.

How many prints fit above a coffee cart?

Two. A 40–60 inch cart or dresser takes a pair of 12" x 16" prints hung 3 inches apart, 27 inches wide in total. Two prints in one order are 7% off automatically, three or more are 10% off, with no code to enter.

How long does a coffee print take to arrive?

Every print is made to order and printed within 3–5 business days, then shipped. Shipping is free in the US and $5 elsewhere.
