This Zakim Bridge Boston watercolor print shows the white cable-stayed bridge in Boston, seen across the Charles River from North Point Park in early autumn. It is an artistic, watercolor-style rendering of the river crossing, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Thin ink lines draw the two inverted-Y towers with their pointed tips and fans of white cables, plus the stone-towered rail drawbridges below. The river is laid in horizontal blue strokes with white paper left for light, and autumn leaves are dabbed in orange and gold. The bridge stretches across the middle ground, with the TD Garden roof and towers on the left and the Bunker Hill Monument on the Charlestown hill to the right. The park's lawn, a curved footbridge and a path fill the foreground. Orange and blue washes spill off the left and bottom edges with drips. "BOSTON" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Modern meets historic. The sleek bridge shares the view with the granite Bunker Hill Monument.
- Busy river. Four colorful kayaks, a small sailboat and a commuter train add movement.
- Crisp fall tones. River blue and bright white are warmed by orange and red autumn trees.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its clean blues and whites suit a modern living room, a home office or a loft with gray and orange accents. Give it to a Boston commuter, an engineer or someone moving away from the city. Pair it with our Boston watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Zakim Bridge Boston? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Zakim Bridge and its surroundings, with the river, park and skyline painted in a loose, simplified style.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BOSTON," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
