This Wilmington, Delaware watercolor print shows Old Swedes Church (Holy Trinity) in its quiet churchyard, with downtown Wilmington towers rising beyond the trees. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the scene, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines outline each fieldstone and old headstone, and layered grey-beige washes give the stone its weight. Each brick on the path is drawn, and the trees are loose dabs of green. The palette is grey-beige stone, leafy green and pale blue glass towers, with pink flowers, brick-red paths and a copper-green belfry roof as accents. The church stands at the center with a stone bell tower and white belfry, the small stone Hendrickson House sits on the right, and a large tree frames the left. A brick path winds across the lawn between headstones in the foreground on a late spring day. "WILMINGTON" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Quiet churchyard mood. Old headstones under shade trees give the scene a calm, historic feel.
- Old meets new. Downtown glass towers rise behind the stone church, linking colonial and modern Wilmington.
- Gardener at work. A gardener tends the flower beds while a small group walks toward the church door.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Wilmington, Delaware? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Old Swedes Church; some features, such as the bell tower's proportions and the closeness of the skyline, are simplified or rearranged.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "WILMINGTON," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
