Ubud rice terrace wall art looking across the valley at Tegallalang, where the paddies are cut into the hillside in shallow steps and a dirt path runs down through the grass in the foreground.
About the artwork
The greenest piece in the collection and almost monochrome because of it. Every plane is a different green — acid yellow-green on the sunlit terrace steps, deep forest green in the palm canopy behind, olive in the shadowed gullies — with only the ochre of the footpath breaking it. The terraces are drawn as contour lines that follow the hill, and coconut palms are scattered through the frame at different depths. Small strokes of grass texture in the foreground keep it from looking flat.
Why you'll love it
- A layered green landscape that reads as texture from across a room.
- No blue sky at all — the frame is filled edge to edge with the terraces.
- Botanical enough to hang with plant prints, but with a real sense of place.
- Calming, low-contrast subject that suits bedrooms and quiet corners.
Where it works at home
Best against a warm white, cream or clay wall, where the greens stay lush rather than cold. It is a natural bedroom print and works well in a bathroom with plenty of plants. In a natural oak frame it reads organic; in black it turns sharper and more graphic. Pairs neatly with the Tanah Lot print for a two-piece Bali arrangement — one green, one blue.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
Which terraces are shown? The stepped paddies of the Tegallalang valley just north of Ubud, the ones cut into the hillside and worked by hand.
