This Toronto watercolor print shows the CN Tower rising above a dense glass skyline, with the wide blue water of Toronto Harbour below. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Toronto, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Short horizontal strokes of blue, broken by white paper, make the water sparkle, while fine ink lines trace the glass towers. Lake and glass blues lead the palette, with white, concrete grey, willow green and grass beige, plus red and yellow kayaks as accents. The CN Tower stands just left of center with its antenna reaching toward the lettering, and the skyline stretches across the middle with the white dome of Rogers Centre on the left. The water fills the lower half, and a willow, a wooden pier and a grassy, rocky shore sit in the left foreground. Beige and blue drips run down the left and bottom edges under a pale sky with soft blue-violet clouds at the height of summer. "TORONTO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Life on the water. A white two-deck ferry, a sailboat and yellow and red kayaks dot the harbor.
- Bright daylight mood. Clear light and open white paper keep the scene fresh and airy.
- Quiet pier corner. People relax on a wooden pier beside a street lamp under a willow.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its cool blues and whites suit a bright home office, a bathroom or a bedroom with white or light grey walls. Give it to a friend who moved away from Toronto, or as a housewarming gift for a new condo.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Toronto? No. It is an artistic, watercolor-style take on the Toronto waterfront. The light and some buildings are simplified or arranged for the composition, so it reads as a bright summer day rather than a precise record.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "TORONTO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
