A Tian Tan Buddha travel poster taken from a rocky outcrop across the valley. The seated bronze figure sits cross-legged on a round columned platform with one hand raised, and a long straight flight of pale stone steps climbs to meet it. Behind, forested ridges fold back towards a sharp green peak.
About the artwork
The illustration is layered rather than flat: bands of forest sit one behind the other in cooling greens, which pushes the far peak into the distance. The statue is rendered in weathered bronze with verdigris in the folds of the robe and warm highlight along the shoulder and raised palm, so it reads as metal against all that foliage. Tiny figures on the stairway set the scale. A tiled temple roof appears low on the right, and HONG KONG sits above CHINA SAR in white capitals.
Why you'll love it
- A calm, low-contrast image that does not fight with the rest of a room.
- Choose fine art paper, matte canvas, or framed canvas that arrives with hardware fitted.
- Thirteen sizes covering both inch and A-series frames.
- Printed only once ordered, so nothing sits in a warehouse fading.
Where it works at home
Quiet green and bronze make this an easy fit for spaces meant to slow down: a bedroom above the headboard, a meditation corner, a reading chair with a floor lamp. It sits comfortably beside linen, rattan and unfinished oak, and the vertical stairway leads the eye upward, which helps in a room with a low ceiling.
Sizes and materials
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Thirteen sizes are available, from 8 x 12 inches up to a 30 x 40 inch statement piece, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. Every piece is made to order.
Shipping and care
Each piece is printed and finished after the order is placed, then shipped in protective packaging — paper prints rolled in a rigid tube, canvas and framed canvas boxed with corner guards. Keep the artwork out of direct sunlight and wipe framed canvas with a dry, soft cloth. Paper prints are best handled by the edges until they are framed.
Questions
Which material should I choose? Paper is the most affordable option and lets you pick your own frame. Matte canvas adds depth and needs no glass. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang and is the usual choice for a feature wall.
Will the colours match what I see on screen? Printing is colour-managed, so the artwork stays very close to the preview. Paper reads slightly softer than canvas, which holds a touch more contrast.
How is this different from the Victoria Peak Hong Kong print? This one is the hilltop bronze Buddha with its stone stairway and forested ridges, a green and bronze picture with no city in it. The Victoria Peak print is the opposite view: packed high-rise towers running down a hillside to the harbour. Both are lettered HONG KONG, so one does not repeat the other.
