This Tallulah Gorge watercolor print shows the deep quartzite chasm of Tallulah Gorge in Georgia, with a slender suspension bridge crossing above Hurricane Falls. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of this Georgia chasm, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Grey-brown ink outlines the quartzite walls, the steel cables of the bridge and the zigzag wooden stairs. Rapids and falls are left as white paper, the river is a teal wash, and rhododendron and mountain laurel are dotted in pink. The gorge fills the center, seen from the north rim looking down and upstream, with the bridge spanning it and Hurricane Falls tumbling below. Wooden stairs and a viewing platform cling to the right wall, hazy north Georgia mountains fill the background, and a rocky ledge with blooming laurel sits in the left foreground. Late-spring blooms set the season, and pink, blue and gold drips run from both lower corners. "TALLULAH GORGE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Tiny hikers on the span. Small figures cross the suspension bridge high over the gorge.
- Zigzag staircases. Long wooden stairs switchback down the cliff to a viewing platform.
- Teal and laurel pink. A teal river and grey-beige rock are lifted by pink mountain laurel and blue-violet ridges.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The greens, teal and pink suit a bedroom, a home office or a bright stairway wall. It is a good gift for a Georgia hiker or anyone who has taken on the gorge stairs.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Tallulah Gorge? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Tallulah Gorge; the bridge is drawn higher above the river than it really sits, so some details are adjusted.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "TALLULAH GORGE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
