A sliced smoking woman triptych poster in black and white: one grainy portrait of a long-haired blonde woman, cut into three horizontal strips that slide out of line.
About the artwork
The three bands are the same height, and each one shows a different part of the same moment. The top strip holds only her eyes and a sweep of hair, the middle one catches a lit cigarette and a curl of smoke, and the bottom one drops to a hand with a large stone ring and loose waves. Because the strips are nudged sideways, the face never quite lines up, which keeps you looking. The backdrop shifts from dark gray to light gray to white as you move down, so the image brightens toward the base. A small wrist tattoo and a black lace top add texture close up.
Why you'll love it
- Feels like a gallery series. Three views in one frame give the look of a hung set without buying three pieces.
- Holds a tall, narrow wall. The stacked bands lead the eye up and down a slim stretch of wall.
- Monochrome that settles in. Gray tones sit easily with wood, linen and black metal furniture.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room above a low black console, or in a bedroom beside a tall mirror. A black frame repeats the darkest strip and tightens the edges, while a natural frame warms the gray. It pairs well with the other portraits of women smoking in this range for a moody wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is it three separate prints? No, it is a single print; the three strips are part of the design on one sheet.
Is it a photograph? Yes, it is a black and white photograph with visible film grain, cut and shifted digitally.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.

- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
