A playroom wall art print of a long-nosed dachshund grinning up close, its body running off the edge of the frame. Available in portrait or landscape.
About the artwork
The dachshund's head and front half fill the lower part of the frame, with a big stretch of off-white space above. It has a long smiling snout, caramel fur and grey-brown ears flying out, with a blue-grey striped top and a brick-red body dotted with white that runs out past the right edge. The bold crop and visible gouache-style brushstrokes give it a fun, rustic character.
Portrait or landscape
Choose the orientation that fits your wall. The landscape version sets the dog to the right, leaving a large open space on the left, with the body cropped at the right edge.
Why you'll love it
- A bold crop. The dog peeking in from the edge feels fresh and unexpected.
- Plenty of breathing room. The open off-white space keeps the print light and easy to style.
- Two orientations. One design in portrait or landscape, so it works above a crib or a wide dresser.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Portrait: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1. Landscape: 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
In landscape, the wide empty space makes it a good fit above a long bench or a low toy cabinet. A thin black or white frame suits the clean off-white ground. Pick up the brick red in a polka-dot cushion or a small rug.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the landscape version just the portrait turned sideways? No. It is the same artwork laid out again for a wide frame, so nothing is cut off.
Why is the dog cut off at the edge? It is a deliberate close-up crop, so the dog looks as if it is running into the frame.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
