A woodland nursery wall art print of a baby fawn curled into a ball and fast asleep, ringed by a light wreath of sage leaves and pale yellow bellflowers.
About the artwork
The fawn tucks its head against its body with its eyes closed, its russet coat covered in white spots and its ears folded softly back. Fine brushstrokes show the fur, and the edges have a soft watercolor look. The wreath is made of thin curving stems with slender sage leaves and small drooping flowers in pale yellow and peach. Two short gaps at the upper left and lower right keep the circle loose and airy. The background is plain cream, with generous space above and below the wreath.
Why you'll love it
- Made for sleep. A curled-up fawn suits the room where babies nap.
- Light, open design. The thin wreath leaves the wall feeling calm.
- Natural colors. Russet, sage and cream sit well with wood and linen.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This one is at home above a crib, a bassinet or a nursing chair, in a room with warm wood and soft cream textiles. Natural and white frames keep it airy, and an espresso frame deepens the russet coat. Pair it with the fawn and butterfly lace oval for a woodland set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What is the background color? A plain warm cream with no pattern, so the fawn and wreath stand out.
Is it a real watercolor painting? It is a print with a soft watercolor look; the texture is part of the image, and the surface is smooth.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
