This Segovia watercolor print shows the double-tiered arches of the Aqueduct of Segovia striding across Plaza del Azoguejo, with Segovia Cathedral on the hill and the snowy Sierra de Guadarrama beyond. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Segovia, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Heavy gray-brown ink lines describe each granite block of the aqueduct, with violet-gray shadows inside the arches, while finer lines outline the houses. The left edge breaks into orange-pink splatter with a long drip, and the bottom bleeds into blue-violet. Silver-gray granite, warm beige houses, sky blue and snowy mountains form the palette, with earthy orange roof tiles and rust-colored leaves as accents. The arches run diagonally from the left toward the center and shrink into the distance, the cathedral with its square tower sits on the right, and stone steps with stone-ball railings and lanterns fill the foreground. Snow covers the far mountains while the last orange leaves cling to the trees in early winter. "SEGOVIA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Receding arches. The aqueduct's arches shrink into the distance with strong perspective.
- Pigeons in flight. A flock of pigeons rises over the square.
- Winter couple. A couple in coats walks down the stone steps past an iron wall lantern.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The granite gray and warm beige suit a living room, office or hallway with charcoal, cream and rust accents. It is a good gift for an engineer, a history lover or someone who took a day trip from Madrid.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Segovia? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the aqueduct and square, arranged with strong perspective to bring the cathedral and mountains into the same frame.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SEGOVIA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
