This Salt Lake Temple watercolor print shows the granite spires of the Salt Lake Temple across Temple Square in Salt Lake City, with the snowy Wasatch Range behind. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the square, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Grey-brown ink details the Gothic spires, arched windows and the pinnacles of the Assembly Hall, while snow is left as white paper on lawns and peaks. The temple stands at the center, its tallest middle spire topped by a small gold statue. The roof of the Salt Lake Tabernacle sits at the left and the small Gothic Assembly Hall at the right. A reflecting pool, bare trees and pines fill the middle ground, with the Wasatch Range behind. Stone paths, low hedges and snow-white lawns lead in from the foreground in early winter. "SALT LAKE CITY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Gold statue accent. A small touch of gold tops the central spire against the blue sky.
- Reflecting pool garden. A still pool and old-fashioned lamps line the paths toward the temple.
- Quiet winter mood. A couple on a bench, pigeons in the snow and strolling visitors keep the scene peaceful.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its granite greys, snow whites and mountain blues suit an entryway, a study or a living room with soft neutrals. It's a meaningful gift for a family with Utah roots, a couple married in Salt Lake City or a new Wasatch Front homeowner. Pair it with our Salt Lake City watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Salt Lake Temple? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Temple Square, and some details, like the Tabernacle roof and the snow, are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "SALT LAKE CITY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
