This Philadelphia City Hall watercolor print shows Philadelphia City Hall at the end of South Broad Street, its clock tower crowned by the William Penn statue. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of Center City, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Grey-brown ink records the mansard roofs, dormers and clock tower in fine detail, and snow is left as white paper on sidewalks, ledges and branches. City Hall stands at the center of the view, looking north up South Broad Street. Stone and brick office buildings line both sides, including a green-domed bank on the right, with the glass towers of Center City rising behind. Stone lions and snowy steps sit in the left foreground. The wet street reflects headlights in blue-grey washes, and the light snow sets it in early winter. "PHILADELPHIA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- William Penn on top. The bronze statue crowns the tall clock tower at the center of the view.
- Winter street scene. Yellow taxis, a city bus and bundled-up pedestrians move along the wet avenue under bare, snowy trees.
- Granite and glass tones. Granite grey and marble white meet blue glass, with yellow taxi and red banner accents.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its cool greys and blues fit a modern office, a city apartment living room or an entryway with black and brass accents. It's a fitting gift for a new Philly homeowner, a graduate starting work in Center City or anyone who misses winter walks down Broad Street. Pair it with our Philadelphia watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Philadelphia City Hall? No. It is an artistic interpretation of City Hall and Broad Street, seen from a little above street level with some details simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PHILADELPHIA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
