This Pasadena watercolor print shows Pasadena City Hall and its tiered, domed tower at the end of a palm-lined boulevard, with the snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains behind. This is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Pasadena, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace each arched level of the tower over warm cream washes, and the dome is a red-orange tile color. The mountains are layered violet-blue with snow left as white paper, and trees are loose dabs of green, yellow and pink, with red-orange and blue drips along both edges. The palette combines cream stucco, terracotta and palm green, accented by lilac snowfields, pink blossoms and a red vintage convertible. City Hall sits at center and rises into the upper part, seen from above down a straight avenue lined with tall fan palms, with Craftsman bungalows on the left and arcaded cream buildings on the right. It is a clear winter day with snow on the peaks. "PASADENA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Red vintage convertible. A classic red car cruises the avenue, the boldest spot of color in the scene.
- Rose-planted median. Roses run down the center of the boulevard while cyclists and walkers pass.
- Snow behind palms. Snowy peaks above towering fan palms capture a classic Southern California contrast.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The cream, terracotta and soft violet palette suits a living room with warm woods, a home office or a Spanish-style entry. It is a lovely gift for someone who once called Pasadena home or a fan of Craftsman architecture.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Pasadena? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Pasadena, composed to bring City Hall, the palms and the mountains into one frame.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PASADENA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
