This Park Güell watercolor print shows Gaudí's mosaic gatehouses in Barcelona from the terrace above, with the city and the Mediterranean Sea beyond. It is a playful watercolor-style interpretation of the park, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The trencadís tiles are painted as small cells of cobalt, yellow and turquoise outlined in ink, and the gatehouses are washed in stone brown under wavy white roofs like icing. Palms and agave are swept in gray-green, and the city below is dotted with fine terracotta marks. The two fairytale gatehouses stand on either side of the middle ground, the left one topped by a blue-and-white checkered tower and four-armed cross. The serpentine mosaic bench curves through the foreground, and Barcelona's rooftops stretch out behind, with the Sagrada Família on the right and the Mediterranean on the horizon. It is mild early spring, with a long orange drip at the lower left. "BARCELONA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Mosaic tile pattern. Small inked cells of cobalt and yellow capture the broken-tile mosaic of the bench and roofs.
- Sagrada Família skyline. The basilica's spires rise from the city grid on the right.
- Guitarist on the bench. A street musician in a hat plays while a couple sits and takes in the view.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cobalt, terracotta and palm green suit a Mediterranean-style living room, a sunroom or a bright kitchen. Give it to an architecture fan, a design student or friends who spent a sunny week in Barcelona. Pair it with our Barcelona watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Park Güell? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Park Güell, and some features, such as the stone colonnades, are left out or simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "BARCELONA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
