This Old Town Square Prague watercolor print shows the twin spires of the Church of Our Lady before Týn rising over Old Town Square in Prague. It is a detailed but artistic watercolor-style interpretation of the square, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The Gothic towers are drawn in detailed gray-brown ink, with pointed spires, corner spirelets and gold orbs over cream stone and slate-gray roofs. Red tile roofs are washed in terracotta, and the astronomical clock is dotted in blue and gold. The Church of Our Lady before Týn rises center right behind an arcaded row of houses, the Old Town Hall tower with the Prague Astronomical Clock stands at the left edge, and the Church of St. Nicholas with green copper domes sits center left. The bronze Jan Hus Memorial stands in the middle of the cobbled square, seen from a terrace on the south side. A sea of red roofs and a green hill fill the distance in early summer light. "PRAGUE" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Astronomical clock face. The blue-and-gold clock dial adds a jewel-like detail to the Old Town Hall tower.
- Pigeons and carriage. A horse-drawn carriage crosses the square as pigeons lift off the cobbles.
- Storybook spires. Dark pointed spires with gold orbs give the skyline a fairytale look.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Terracotta, cream and slate suit a living room, a library or a dining room with warm or vintage decor. Give it to someone with Czech roots, a fan of old European cities or a couple who explored Prague together. Pair it with our Prague watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Old Town Square Prague? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Old Town Square, and some buildings and the background hills are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PRAGUE," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
