This Nairobi watercolor print shows the round Kenyatta International Conference Centre tower and the Nairobi skyline rising over the boating lake in Uhuru Park. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Nairobi, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The KICC tower is painted in earthy red, with dense horizontal ink lines for its ribbed facade. The lake is blue with a red reflection of the tower bleeding downward, and the flat-topped acacias are built from layers of green and yellow. Earthy red, park green and blue water and glass lead the palette, with pink and red flowering shrubs as accents. The tower with its flared crown stands left of center, a cone-roofed hall shaped like a traditional hut sits to the right, and CBD towers rise behind. The day is clear and sunny, in the dry season. "NAIROBI" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Ribbed red tower. Dense ink lines give the KICC facade its texture.
- Marabou storks. Two storks perch in an acacia on the left.
- Rowboats on the lake. Three rowboats drift across the Uhuru Park lake.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its red, green and blue tones work in a bold living room, a creative office or a hallway gallery. A meaningful gift for someone from Kenya or a friend who started a safari trip in Nairobi.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Nairobi? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Uhuru Park and the KICC tower, painted to show the park and skyline together.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "NAIROBI," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
