This Na Pali Coast watercolor print shows the towering emerald sea cliffs of Kauai, folded into knife-edge ridges and plunging into the Pacific. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the coast, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine brown ink outlines the sharp ridges and cliffs, and the slopes are washed in layers of emerald green and earthy brown. Thin waterfalls and white foam are left as bare paper, and the sea moves from deep blue to turquoise. The cliffs run diagonally from the right into the distance on the left, seen from the water a short way offshore. A dark sea cave opens at the base on the right, a small golden beach sits below the cliffs, and deep blue swells with white foam fill the foreground. Calm summer seas set the season, and blue-green drips trail off the left edge. "NA PALI COAST" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Spinner dolphins. A pod of spinner dolphins leaps from the water near the cliffs.
- Boats along the coast. A white catamaran under sail and three red and yellow kayaks follow the shoreline.
- Emerald and deep blue. Emerald cliffs and deep Pacific blue are lit by white surf, red-brown rock and a patch of gold sand.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The emerald and ocean tones suit a tropical-themed living room, a bathroom or a bedroom with rattan and white linens. It is a lovely reminder of a Hawaii honeymoon or a Kauai anniversary trip.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Na Pali Coast? No. This is an artistic interpretation of the Na Pali Coast, painted to suggest the ridges and coves rather than map them.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "NA PALI COAST," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
