This McCall, Idaho watercolor print shows deep blue Payette Lake, with McCall's small waterfront of timber lodges, docks and a sandy beach park on its southern shore. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the lake town, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The lake carries transparent blue washes with reflections left as white paper, fine brown-grey ink outlines the lodges, docks and pine trunks, and the larches are transparent golden dots. Lake blue, larch gold, fir and pine greens and lodge brown set the palette, with white sails as bright notes. The view looks north from a hillside above the south shore, with the lake spreading across the right and the waterfront in the left middle ground. Tall pines, golden larches and grey rocks fill the foreground, and forested mountains of the Payette National Forest fade into blue haze in early autumn. A yellow drip falls from the lower left, with light speckling around the border. "MCCALL" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it

- Lakeside recreation. A sailboat, a motorboat and a paddleboarder share the water.
- Quiet beach park. People stroll the sandy shore beside the timber lodges.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of McCall, Idaho? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Payette Lake and McCall's waterfront, made to capture the calm of an autumn day on the lake rather than an exact view.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "MCCALL," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
