This Luxembourg City watercolor print shows the great arch of the Adolphe Bridge spanning the green Pétrusse valley, with the three spires of Notre-Dame Cathedral behind it. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Luxembourg City, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Many layered green washes and soft splatter build the valley trees, and thin brown ink lines outline the bridge arches and the stone ramparts. The bottom edge dissolves into green, yellow and pink dots, with a long drip in the lower left corner. Fresh spring green leads the palette, with sandstone yellow on the bridge, slate gray-blue roofs, pink cherry blossom and touches of lavender. The bridge stretches across the middle of the scene, seen from a slope above the valley, with the old town and cathedral on the right and terraced gardens, a winding path and a small stone footbridge over a stream in front. It is spring, and the trees are in bloom. "LUXEMBOURG CITY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Cherry blossom season. Pink cherry trees and white flowering trees bloom across the valley gardens.
- Garden path stroll. A person walks a dog along the curving path through the terraced gardens.
- Fortress walls. Stone ramparts and a bastion edge the right side, with a small bus crossing the bridge above.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The greens and soft pinks fit a bedroom, sunroom or reading nook with botanical prints, linen and light oak. It suits someone posted to Luxembourg for work, or a couple who first visited in spring.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Luxembourg City? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Pétrusse valley and the Adolphe Bridge, composed as a single garden view rather than a precise record of the city.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "LUXEMBOURG CITY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
