This Looking Glass Falls watercolor print shows a single white curtain of water dropping over a broad ledge into a clear jade-green pool in Pisgah National Forest. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the North Carolina waterfall, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The curtain of falling water is left as white paper with thin blue-grey washes, and the pool is a clear jade layer. Fine brown-grey ink outlines the rock walls, the stone steps and a wooden railing. The palette is forest green, jade, foam white and mossy grey, with white-pink rhododendron on the left. The falls pour over the ledge at the center, seen from slightly above on the stone steps by the pool. A railed stone stairway sits at the lower left, smooth boulders and the outflowing stream at the lower right, and forested Pisgah ridges rise behind. "LOOKING GLASS FALLS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Swimmers in the pool. People wade in the cold water while others rest on the boulders.
- Jade-green water. The clear pool glows in a cool green that ties the print together.
- Photo stop on the steps. Visitors pause on the stone stairs to snap pictures of the falls.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Cool green tones bring calm to a bathroom, a bedroom or a reading corner. It makes a fun gift for a Brevard or Asheville local, or anyone who cooled off at the falls on a summer trip.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Looking Glass Falls? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of Looking Glass Falls. The viewpoint is a little higher than the usual pool-level view, and some details are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "LOOKING GLASS FALLS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
