This Lake Como watercolor print shows the lakeside village of Bellagio from a high terrace, with purple wisteria hanging over the rooftops in the foreground. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Lake Como, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The lake is washed in blue with ripple lines and bare paper reflections, and the wisteria is dotted in drooping violet clusters. Lake blue, apricot and peach villas and dark cypress green form the palette, with wisteria purple and the glossy brown wood of a vintage motorboat as accents. The village fills the middle ground on the left, a stone bell tower rising at upper left, while a cypress-lined point runs out to the right. Tiled roofs, chimneys and the wisteria pergola make up the foreground, with green mountains and pale peaks far behind. Pink-violet drips and violet, blue and yellow splatters soften the edges into a white paper border in late spring. "LAKE COMO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Classic wooden motorboat. A varnished runabout cuts across the lake below the village.
- Wisteria in bloom. Purple clusters hang over the rooftop terrace in the foreground.
- Arcaded waterfront. An arched walkway and lakeside promenade line the shore.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its blue, apricot and lavender tones suit a primary bedroom, a powder room or a soft-toned living room. It makes a romantic gift for an Italian lakes honeymoon or an anniversary.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lake Como? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Bellagio on Lake Como. The scene is viewed from a terrace on shore rather than from the water, and the details are loosely painted.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "LAKE COMO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
