This Lake Clark National Park watercolor print shows Turquoise Lake curving through a steep mountain valley in Alaska, with pink fireweed on the tundra slope above. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the lake, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The lake is layered in clear turquoise with bands of white paper for reflections, the peaks are left white for snow, and fine ink lines outline the cliffs and small glaciers. Drips with pink and blue splatter gather at the lower left. Turquoise Lake runs from the center into the distance between steep gray mountains, with the jagged snowy Chigmit Mountains behind. The view looks down from a lichen-covered tundra slope with fireweed in the foreground. Green tundra and blooming fireweed place it in late summer. "LAKE CLARK" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Float plane on the lake. A tiny float plane glides across the turquoise water.
- Dall sheep on the ledge. A white Dall sheep stands on a rock at left while two backpackers take in the view.
- Glacial turquoise. The milky lake color stands out sharply against gray rock and white snow.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise, tundra green and slate gray suit a living room, a bathroom or a home office with white walls and natural wood. Give it to a backpacker who flew in for a wilderness trip, or someone saving up for their first Alaska adventure.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lake Clark National Park? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Turquoise Lake and the surrounding peaks, simplified into one watercolor-style scene.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "LAKE CLARK," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
