This Lagos, Portugal watercolor print shows the golden sea stacks and natural arches of Ponta da Piedade rising from turquoise water, with the white lighthouse on the headland above. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Lagos, Portugal, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Sandstone cliffs and pillars are built up in many orange-gold layers, with fine brown ink describing the grain of the rock. The water deepens from turquoise to darker blue offshore, lit by streaks of untouched white paper, and the left edge and base break into yellow, violet and blue speckles with a few long drips. Earthy orange rock and turquoise sea lead the palette, with yellow wildflowers and sea-lavender purple in the foreground. The rock formations stand left of center, the red-capped lighthouse sits on the point at upper left, a zigzag wooden stairway drops down the cliff, and the bay with its beach and town lies behind. It is a bright summer scene under a pale blue sky. "LAGOS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Kayaks by the arches. Two orange kayaks paddle near the rock arch while a small tour boat passes.
- Cliff-top wildflowers. Yellow and purple blooms edge the foreground along the top of the cliff.
- Zigzag stairway. A wooden staircase traces its way down the cliff face toward the water.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Lagos, Portugal? No. This is an artistic interpretation of the Lagos coast, with the cliffs, lighthouse and bay composed into a single watercolor-style view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "LAGOS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
