A Kyoto cherry blossom print for a soft, light bedroom. A slender pink cherry branch reaches across a cream ground with a faint pattern, blue-gray waves roll along the bottom, and a very small Mount Fuji sits in the scene. "KYOTO JAPAN" and "CHERRY BLOSSOM" are lettered on the sheet.
About the artwork
Drawn in a woodblock style inspired by ukiyo-e, it keeps to pink, cream and blue-gray. The branch is thin and airy, the background carries a faint pattern, and the waves at the foot add weight and movement. Mount Fuji is kept tiny, a detail you notice on the second look. The lettering reads "KYOTO JAPAN" and "CHERRY BLOSSOM", and a small kanji label completes it. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Three layers in one scene. Blossom, waves along the bottom and a tiny Fuji give depth to a simple branch print.
- Light enough for a bedroom. The cream ground and fine branch keep it airy, even at a large size.
- Waves as a base. The blue-gray waves anchor the bottom of the sheet, so the pink does not float.
- Lettering like a travel print. "KYOTO JAPAN" and "CHERRY BLOSSOM" give it the feel of a vintage travel poster.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a bed or a white dresser on a cream, blush or pale blue-gray wall. Light oak, white linen and a gray-blue throw pick up the waves. At 18" x 24" it suits a nightstand wall; 24" x 36" works over a double bed. Pair it with a small wave print after Hokusai in blue-gray to repeat the water at the bottom.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is Mount Fuji in this print? Yes, a very small Mount Fuji appears in the scene. It is a quiet detail rather than the subject.
What colors are in it? Pink blossoms, a cream patterned ground and blue-gray waves. It suits bedrooms in cream, blush or soft blue.
Which size works for a guest bedroom? 16" x 24" or 18" x 24" suits a smaller guest room wall; 24" x 36" is better centered over a full or queen bed.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
