This Kennebunkport watercolor print shows Goat Island Light on its rocky island at Cape Porpoise harbor, with a gray-shingled fish shack hung with buoys and a float stacked with lobster traps. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Kennebunkport, not an exact view of the town.
About the artwork
Fine ink outlines the shingled shack, the lobster traps and the lighthouse lantern, and the granite shore is layered in mottled gray. Harbor blue and weathered gray lead the palette, with a white tower and white boats, plus red and orange buoys and wild roses on the rocks. The lighthouse with its black lantern stands right of center beside the keeper's house, and the fish shack on pilings sits on the left. White houses line a distant rocky shore, and the foreground is granite, seaweed and a wooden float. It is a clear midsummer day, and the left edge fades into pink and moss green with drips and blue and yellow splatter. "KENNEBUNKPORT" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Lobstering scene. A fisherman in orange overalls hauls traps aboard a lobster boat in the harbor.
- Buoys in color. Bunches of painted buoys hang from the shack and add bright red and orange notes.
- Quiet gull perch. A gull rests on a piling, a small detail that rewards a closer look.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cool blues and driftwood grays suit a beach house, a guest bath, a white kitchen or a calm bedroom with linen tones. It is a good pick for a family that summers in southern Maine or a friend who loves lighthouses.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Kennebunkport? No. This print is an artistic interpretation, and some details are simplified, such as the walkway that links the shore to the lighthouse island.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "KENNEBUNKPORT," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
