This Johannesburg flower market wall art print sets high-rise towers and far blue mountains above a warm hillside of yellow blooms. It's a stylized, imaginative take on Johannesburg, an artistic interpretation inspired by the city rather than a literal view.
About the artwork
A digital watercolor-style illustration with an opaque, gouache-like finish and bold outlines. Distant blue mountains and a cluster of towers, including an orange high-rise on the right, sit at the top. Yellow, cream-white and orange flowers with dark green leaves cover the lower two-thirds. A cream-yellow sky washes gently behind, with "FLOWER MARKET" in golden orange and "Johannesburg" handwritten in teal.
Why you'll love it
- Golden warmth. Yellow and orange blooms bring a sunny, upbeat feel.
- Bold outlines. Strong edges give it a crisp, graphic finish.
- City and nature. Towers and a flower-filled hillside meet in one frame.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a living room, kitchen or home office with mustard, olive and cream. A warm gift for someone with South African roots or a friend celebrating a new home.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Johannesburg? No. The mountains and towers are imagined parts of a stylized scene inspired by Johannesburg, not a real view of the city.
What text is printed on it? "FLOWER MARKET" across the top, "CITIES & FLOWERS COLLECTION", "NO.097" and "Johannesburg" in handwritten script.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
