A je t'aime typography poster in black on white: the French phrase je t'aime repeated on four lines in bold sans-serif type, with a small italic list beneath.
About the artwork
The four lines are left-aligned and fill roughly three quarters of the sheet, so the phrase becomes a block of pure texture. Repeating it four times turns a simple line into something like a chant. Below it sits a neat grid of five columns and seven rows of tiny italic words, a kind of personal list of favorite things. The list mixes food, music, books and habits, and each entry is short. The contrast between huge letters and tiny ones gives the poster two ways of being read, from across the room and up close.
Why you'll love it
- A love note for your wall. A warm message that is easy to hang in a couple's room or a sitting room.
- Two ways to read it. Bold letters work from a distance, and the tiny list rewards a closer look.
- Black and white simplicity. Two colors and no pictures fit almost any decor.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a bed, in a hallway or over a desk in a bright room. A black frame gives strong edges, and a natural wood frame adds warmth. A version of this design with reversed colors exists, and the two make a good mirrored pair on a shared wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the text say? The phrase je t'aime is repeated on four lines, with a small italic list of favorite things in five columns below it.
Is there a matching print? Yes, a reversed-color version with white letters on black is available, so you can hang the two together.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
