A black je t'aime typography poster: white bold sans-serif text on flat charcoal, with the phrase repeated in four lines above a small italic list.
About the artwork
The four lines of je t'aime are set flush left and take up about three quarters of the sheet, so the phrase reads as a wall of sound. Below them the layout changes scale completely. A grid of five columns and seven rows of tiny italic words fills the bottom, like a handwritten list of small loves turned into type. Books, snacks, songs, cities and favorite people all sit side by side in that grid. You read the big words from the door and the small ones only when you step up close. The two sizes turn one phrase into a portrait of someone's taste.
Why you'll love it
- A romantic wall without the clutter. Sentiment comes through in the type, so no florals or hearts are needed.
- Two ways to read it. From across the room it is a bold statement, and up close it rewards a longer look.
- Easy to match. A flat charcoal ground works with dark frames, warm woods and light bedding alike.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a bed or a sofa, where the deep charcoal anchors a light wall. A white frame gives a crisp outline, while an espresso or black frame melts the edge into the ground. Pair it with the light-background version of the same phrase for a positive and negative set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the small list readable? Yes, on larger sizes the italic list is easy to read from arm's length, and it stays as a soft texture from farther back.
What is the background color? A flat charcoal black with white lettering, no texture or gradient.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
