A geometric abstract wall art print of a head made from translucent gray facets, like a crystal turned toward the light, set on a sheet of watercolor paper within a pale cream border.
About the artwork
The head fills the middle of the sheet as one many-sided shape, its planes laid over one another in thin washes so each overlap turns a shade darker. A tall triangle of bare paper sits on the forehead and two smaller white patches mark the chin and neck. The face itself is only three short black dashes: two for the eyes and one for the mouth. Around it the background runs to near-black, with a solid dark strip down the left side. The painted sheet sits inside a wide printed cream margin, so it already looks mounted.
Why you'll love it
- A portrait without features. Three dashes are enough to make the shapes into a face.
- Soft grays, strong shape. The washes are gentle but the silhouette reads from across the room.
- Printed border included. The cream margin gives it a finished, mounted look.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This quiet gray head suits a study, a reading nook or a hallway where it can be met at eye level. Pair it with charcoal linen, concrete or stone accents and pale oak. A black frame sharpens the dark background; a white frame lets the cream border breathe. It sits well beside the other block-built head prints in the range as a small portrait wall.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is it a portrait of someone? No — it is an abstract head built from geometric planes, with only three small marks for a face.
Is there any color? No. It is gray and black watercolor on white paper, framed by a printed cream border.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
