This Gold Coast watercolor print shows the slender Q1 Tower and the Surfers Paradise skyline above a wide beach and rolling surf. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Gold Coast, not an exact view of the coast.
About the artwork
The surf is painted in bands of turquoise and deep blue, with white foam left as bare paper. The Q1 Tower is washed in glassy blue, with fine ink marking its floors, and the sand is a thin pale gold. Turquoise and blue waves, golden sand and blue-white towers make up the palette, with red-and-yellow patrol flags and green Norfolk pines as accents. Q1 stands right of center with its spire reaching up toward the lettering, the beachfront towers run diagonally from the left, and a lifeguard tower sits on the sand. Warm summer sun lights the whole beach. "GOLD COAST" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Layered surf. Rows of breaking waves are built from turquoise and blue bands.
- Lifeguard tower. A yellow patrol tower with red-and-yellow flags watches the beach.
- Dune boardwalk. Wooden steps lead down to the sand between pandanus plants.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Blue and sandy tones bring a beach-house feel to a bathroom, a teen's room or a coastal living room. A fun gift for a surfer or a reminder of a Queensland family holiday.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Gold Coast? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Surfers Paradise and the Q1 Tower, painted to show the beach and skyline side by side.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "GOLD COAST," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
