This Fort Myers watercolor print shows Seminole Lodge, the cream-white home at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, among royal palms on the Caloosahatchee River. It is a watercolor-style interpretation of the estate, not an exact view.
About the artwork
The river is a turquoise and blue wash with pier reflections and white paper for ripples. Fine brown ink outlines the verandas, railings, roofs, pier posts and boats, royal palm crowns are loose olive-green washes, and bougainvillea is wet hot-pink dots. The two-story lodge with its wraparound veranda sits in the middle ground on the left between tall royal palms, and a guest house joined by a covered walkway and a huge banyan tree stand on the right. The wide river stretches back to a low green horizon, and a long wooden pier, lawn and bougainvillea fill the foreground under warm dry-season sun. The left edge and bottom melt into pink, violet and blue blooms with drips and splatter. "FORT MYERS" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Pelicans on pilings. Two pelicans perch on the pier posts as a white motorboat passes.
- Banyan tree detail. A giant banyan with hanging roots spreads beside the guest house.
- Tropical pink and green. Palm green and river turquoise are lit by bougainvillea pink.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The tropical greens, turquoise and pink suit a coastal living room, a sunroom or a guest room. A lovely gift for snowbirds who winter in Southwest Florida or a history lover who has toured the estates.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Fort Myers? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the estate grounds, with the gardens and buildings simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "FORT MYERS," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
