A cocktail wall art print: two martini glasses meeting in a toast, drawn in one unbroken green line, under the words On Fridays I prefer my espresso in a martini.
About the artwork
The pen never lifts. A single thin green line runs from the left edge of the sheet to the right, describing both hands and both glasses on the way — you can follow it the whole distance without finding a break. Flat vermilion fills the drink in each glass and slides deliberately past the outline, the way a second plate lands out of register. A single coffee bean floats on each surface, drawn as a small circle with one stroke through it. The script is split two lines above the glasses and two below.
Why you'll love it
- One continuous line. Worth tracing with your eye once you notice it.
- Green with red. An unexpected pairing for a bar print.
- A joke told quietly. No exclamation marks anywhere.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The line runs edge to edge, so this print wants breathing room on both sides — give it a clear wall rather than a tight cluster. A bar cart, a coffee corner or a home office all suit it, since the joke works in either room. Natural oak and white frames keep it light; black is heavier than the thin line wants.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? On Fridays I prefer my espresso in a martini, across four lines.
Is the drawing really one line? Yes — hands and glasses are described by a single unbroken stroke.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Nothing is printed until you order, so each piece is made for you.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
