This Dubrovnik watercolor print looks down from a hillside over the city walls and orange roofs of the Old Town to Lokrum Island and the open sea. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Dubrovnik, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The orange roof tiles are built from small, dense dots of color with ink lines, while the deep blue sea is washed in softly with white paper left for reflections. Adriatic blue and terracotta orange lead the palette, with olive green trees, limestone beige and orange roses as an accent. The round Minčeta Tower sits upper left, the walls wrap the roofs against the water, and Fort St. John and the Old Port lie to the right. A stone stepped path with low walls, agaves, pines and cypresses fills the foreground, and the edges dissolve into an orange drip and blue and orange splatter. Warm sunlight suggests late summer. "DUBROVNIK" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Flag on the tower. A small Croatian flag flies from the top of Minčeta Tower.
- Walkers on the walls. Tiny figures stroll the stone path and the top of the city walls.
- Boats around the port. White sailboats and tour boats circle the Old Port.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Blue and terracotta pair well with a Mediterranean-style living room, a dining room or a coastal bedroom. It suits a couple who honeymooned on the Adriatic or anyone who has walked the old walls.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Dubrovnik? No. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Dubrovnik. The foreground path and some surrounding details are simplified or changed to frame the view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "DUBROVNIK," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
