This Denver watercolor print shows the gold-domed Colorado State Capitol with the downtown Denver skyline and the snowy Front Range of the Rocky Mountains behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Denver, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines detail the drum columns, the neoclassical portico and the pointed turrets of Victorian homes. The distant mountains are clear blue-violet layers with snowcaps left as white paper, and the left edge breaks into pink, orange and blue-violet washes with a long drip. A gilded dome, pale gray granite, red Victorian brick and summer greens set the palette, with Rocky Mountain blue, red-brown towers and slate roofs as accents. The Capitol sits left of center in the upper half, downtown towers rise on the right, and the snowy range stretches across the horizon. A tree-lined Capitol Hill street runs diagonally from the left past red brick Victorians with turrets and porches on a clear summer day. "DENVER" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Mountain horizon. The snowy Front Range stretches across the full width of the skyline.
- Victorian turrets. Red brick homes with round turrets and porches line the street.
- Capitol steps. Small figures stand on the Capitol steps beside a tiny American flag.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Green, red brick and mountain blue suit a mountain-style living room, office or entryway with wood and leather. It is a good gift for a Colorado transplant, a skier or a family moving to Denver.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Denver? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Denver in watercolor style that captures the city and mountains rather than an exact view.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "DENVER," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
