This Daytona Beach watercolor print shows the Main Street Pier stretching out past the surf, seen from the hard-packed sand south of it, with cars rolling slowly along the beach. The artwork is a watercolor-and-ink take on the Florida coast rather than a precise record of it.
About the artwork
Wet sand mirrors the sky in soft horizontal washes of blue and violet, and fine ink lines trace tire tracks across the beach. The long pier runs out on dark pilings through the middle of the picture, with a green-roofed building near its landward end. Pastel hotels and condo towers line the shore at the back left, and sea oat dunes with sand fencing fill the lower left corner. The palette is sea blue, sand beige, white and pastel, with moss green dune grass, under a cool, clear early spring sky. The left edge dissolves into long yellow drips and blue splatter. "DAYTONA BEACH" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Cars on the sand. A white pickup and a small car cruise slowly across the wide, open beach.
- Mirror-like wet sand. Shallow sheets of water reflect the sky in loose violet and blue washes.
- Beach day details. Two cyclists, a surfer carrying a board and wheeling gulls fill the open shore.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The airy blues and soft sand tones suit a beach house living room, a guest bedroom or a hallway that needs a bit of light. It makes a fun gift for a family that returns to Daytona every spring or for someone who grew up on Florida's east coast.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Daytona Beach? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Daytona Beach. Some details, such as the building on the pier, are simplified or drawn in the illustrator's own way.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "DAYTONA BEACH," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
