A sports nursery wall art print of a smiling dachshund riding a pink surfboard over wavy blue-grey and cream stripes. Available in portrait or landscape.
About the artwork
The dachshund stretches across the middle of the frame, eyes closed and smiling, in a blue-and-white striped top and brick-red shorts with white polka dots. The surfboard below is soft pink, and a small wave line in glittery-look silver runs beneath it. The background is made of horizontal wavy stripes in pale blue-grey and cream. It is painted in a gouache style with visible brushstrokes, which keeps the scene warm and hand-made.
Portrait or landscape
Choose the orientation that fits your wall. The landscape version shows the dog larger and set to the left, with fewer stripes in the background.
Why you'll love it
- Pure beach mood. A happy pup catching a wave brings a holiday feeling to the wall.
- Soft coastal colours. Blue-grey, cream, caramel and brick red suit a beach or surf-themed room.
- Two orientations. One design in portrait or landscape, so it works above a crib or a wide dresser.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Portrait: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1. Landscape: 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Portrait 12" x 16" to 30" x 40"; landscape 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang the landscape version above a low dresser so the wavy stripes run along the wall. Pale wood frames suit the caramel dog and cream stripes. Add a pink or brick-red accent, such as a cushion or a basket, to echo the surfboard and shorts.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the landscape version just the portrait turned sideways? No. It is the same artwork laid out again for a wide frame, so nothing is cut off.
Does it suit a surf or beach theme? Yes. The surfboard, wave line and wavy stripes make it an easy fit for a coastal or surf nursery.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
