This Cusco watercolor print shows the Plaza de Armas with Cusco Cathedral on the left and the twin bell towers of the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús on the right. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cusco, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine, dense ink lines carve out the church facades in grey-brown stone, while red-orange tile roofs get warm washes with visible tile texture. Whitewashed walls are left as bare paper, and two drips plus pink-orange splatter mark the left edge. The palette is earthen red tile, grey-brown andesite and lime white, with blue wooden balconies, red geraniums and woven Andean textiles as accents. The view looks down a narrow stone stairway between white houses toward the plaza and its fountain, with the cathedral on the left and La Compañía to the right of center. Behind, houses climb the hills to brown Andes peaks and one distant snowcapped summit under a clear dry-season sky. "CUSCO" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Llama on the steps. A woman in a bright woven skirt and hat leads a llama down the stone stairs.
- Blue painted balconies. Carved wooden balconies hold pots of red geraniums.
- Andes on the horizon. Brown ridges and a far snowy peak rise behind the rooftops.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Terracotta, stone and Andean blue fit a living room with woven textiles, a reading nook or an earthy home office. It is a lovely gift for someone who has trekked through Peru.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cusco? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Plaza de Armas in Cusco and its churches, composed from a hillside stairway in a loose watercolor style.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CUSCO," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
