This Columbia, Missouri watercolor print shows the six Columns on Francis Quadrangle at the University of Missouri, with Jesse Hall and its silver dome behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Columbia, Missouri, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The white stone columns are left as paper with gray-blue shading and fine ink, the lawn is washed in flat green with tree shadows, and early yellow-orange leaves bloom wetly at the left. Grass green and column white lead the palette, accented by red brick buildings, turning yellow-orange leaves and the silvery gray dome of Jesse Hall. The six Ionic columns stand in a row at center and reach into the upper half, while the red brick Jesse Hall sits behind them to the right with its dome in the top third. Red brick buildings line both sides of the quad, and a long lawn with crossing paths fills the foreground. Leaves just starting to turn set it in early fall, and a yellow drip at the lower left joins splatter around a white paper border. "COLUMBIA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Six Ionic columns. The white columns stand alone in a row in the middle of the quad.
- Crisscross paths. Students with backpacks cross the lawn on diagonal walkways.
- Turning trees. Yellow and orange touches show the first days of fall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.

Styling it at home
Its green, white and brick red palette suits a study, a dorm room or a home office with classic decor. It is a meaningful gift for a graduate, a new student or a family with deep ties to Columbia.
Shipping and care

Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Columbia, Missouri? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Columbia, Missouri. Jesse Hall is shifted slightly to the right of its real position to balance the composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "COLUMBIA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
