This Cody, Wyoming watercolor print shows The Scout, the bronze Buffalo Bill statue on horseback, above the western storefronts of Sheridan Avenue and the Shoshone River valley. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Cody, Wyoming, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The rider is painted in deep bronze-brown with sharp ink lines, set on a stacked stone base washed in gray and beige. Saddle-leather brown and dry-grass gold blend with silver sage and the blue of the river and distant peaks, with brick-red storefronts and an American flag as accents. The statue stands on the right with the raised rifle in the upper third, while a western main street of false-front brick buildings and a gold stone hotel runs along the left. The Shoshone River winds through the valley, a rocky canyon and the snowy Absaroka Range rise behind, and a dry grassy hill with a gravel path fills the late-summer foreground. "CODY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Bronze rider. The raised rifle and dark bronze tones give the print a strong focal point.
- Old West main street. A cowboy rides down the street past a pickup towing a horse trailer.
- Covered boardwalks. Wooden awnings shade the sidewalk, and an American flag flies on the hotel roof.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.

- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Leather browns, sage and dry gold suit a western-style den, a ranch-house living room or an office with dark wood. Give it to a rodeo fan, a western road-trip lover or someone with family roots in Wyoming.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Cody, Wyoming? No. It is an artistic interpretation, and some details are simplified, including the rider's pose on the statue.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CODY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
