A lemon print where the fruit is patterned rather than plain. Two lemons hang crossed at the stem, each filled with a yellow checkerboard, against broad vertical stripes of sky blue and cream, with a white four-point sparkle on each.
About the artwork
The checks sit at a slight angle and follow the curve of the fruit, so the lemons read as round despite having no shading at all. Dark green leaves cross behind them. The blue is a seaside blue rather than a navy, and the stripes are wide enough to be background rather than pattern. Portrait.
Why you'll love it
- Pattern on pattern, done carefully. Checks inside stripes could easily be too much; the wide stripe spacing is what keeps it calm.
- Blue and yellow lift a dark kitchen. It brings light to a wall that does not get much sun.
- Built as a set. Every design in the food and drink series shares the same cream ground and paper, so any combination lines up.
- A gift for a summer kitchen. It carries the Mediterranean without naming a place.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Blue and yellow are strong enough for a bathroom or a hallway, not just a kitchen, and the print survives a busy room because the shapes are large. Hang it where daylight hits it, since the blue flattens under warm bulbs. A white frame keeps it fresh; oak warms it up. It sits well beside the Limoni pattern print, which uses the same yellow at a different scale.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Between cabinets or above a counter, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a dining table or sideboard, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Can I hang more than one together? Yes. The food and drink prints share one palette and one paper, so two or three hang as a matched set.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Matte canvas

Framed canvas
