A mid century abstract wall art print of large greige curves, cut like paper shapes, pressed together over a flat charcoal ground.
About the artwork
The pale shapes take up about two thirds of the picture and run off the left, right and bottom edges. A large round form sits left of centre, a long horizontal shape stretches across the top right, another big curve fills the lower right and an oval rests at the bottom left. Charcoal shows only in the narrow gaps between them, so the dark reads as the negative space. The edges are clean with a slight dry-brush fray along a few curves, and a small hook shape pokes in from the right edge. Together the forms loosely suggest a body curled up, without spelling it out.
Why you'll love it
- Bold but neutral. Strong contrast in colours that still suit a calm room.
- Shapes you keep reading. It shifts between pure abstract and a curled figure.
- Flat, graphic finish. Clean colour fields hold up well at large sizes.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The dark ground makes this a natural anchor for a living room with a cream or boucle sofa, or a study with walnut furniture. Brass lamps and warm wood bring out the greige. Frame it in natural wood to soften it or black for a crisp gallery edge. It pairs well with a black-on-blush organic shape print from the same range, the colours reversed.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What are the shapes? Abstract curved forms; some people see a curled-up figure, but nothing is drawn in detail.
Is the background black? A deep charcoal black, flat and even, with greige shapes over it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
