A floral nursery wall art print of a white dove in flight, its body covered in painted flowers, with the words "You were born to fly" in navy script.
About the artwork
The dove flies diagonally across the centre of the sheet, wings open, over a blue block with grey-blue stripes and a scalloped edge, set on a beige outer ground. Its body is filled with purple daisies, a yellow sunflower, small pale blue forget-me-nots, a pink crescent moon and a pink heart. The words sit at a slant in the upper right corner in navy blue. Everything is painted digitally with dry, textured brush strokes, so the striped background keeps a rough, hand-made feel in a colourful folk and boho style.
Why you'll love it
- An encouraging message. The words give a little one something kind to grow up reading.
- Flowers in every feather. Daisies, a sunflower and a tiny moon hide in the dove's body.
- Folk-art texture. Dry brush strokes make the stripes and petals feel hand-painted.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a reading chair so the words "You were born to fly" are easy to point out at story time. The purple, yellow and pink flowers pick up nicely on bedding or cushions in the same tones. A natural wood frame suits the beige border and the hand-painted folk look.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the text say? It reads "You were born to fly", written in navy script in the top right corner.
Is the scalloped blue panel part of the print? Yes, the striped blue block with its scalloped edge is printed as part of the design.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
