A black panther front portrait poster in high-contrast black and white: a close studio-style shot of a panther facing you, on a plain white background with no text.
About the artwork
The head and chest sit in the middle of the sheet, and a wide band of white is left open above them. The coat is so dark that the fur nearly loses its detail, which turns the animal into one heavy, sculpted shape. Two pale eyes are the brightest points on the cat and pull your gaze straight in. Long white whiskers fan out across the black fur like fine pencil lines. Only a faint trace of spotting shows on the forehead, so the portrait stays calm and solemn.
Why you'll love it
- Serious, but never loud. A still, steady portrait that sets a confident tone without clutter.
- Reads from across the room. The dark mass against white holds its shape at a distance.
- Easy to pair. Pure black and white sits well beside photos, sketches and other monochrome art.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a sofa, a bed or a console in a living room or bedroom with dark wood or leather. A white frame keeps the open space light, and a black frame makes the panther look even deeper. It works as a pair with the seated black panther and the spotted leopard portraits in this range.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is there any text on it? No, this design has no lettering, just the panther on white.
Is it a photo or a drawing? It looks like a realistic studio animal photograph, printed in black and white.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
