Botanical Wall Art

Gather the quiet order of the botanical plate with our botanical wall art. Featuring engraved blooms, seed heads, and leaf studies drawn in single-colour ink, these considered wall art prints bring a naturalist's calm to your home decor.

What's in the collection

Plant studies drawn in the manner of the old botanical plate and the engraved postage stamp. The state flower series opens the collection: every US state rendered as a one-cent definitive, its emblem flower cut in fine line and its nickname letterpressed along the foot. Camellia and bluebonnet, sunflower and poppy, magnolia, columbine and lady's slipper each arrive in their own ink, from brick red on peach to ink blue on dusty sky.

One house style

Every sheet is drawn rather than photographed, then printed as a single ink on a tinted ground the way a nineteenth-century definitive was. The engraving carries the detail: hatched shading, fine stems, a fern ornament tucked into one corner. Because the frame, the denomination and the typography repeat from sheet to sheet, prints hang tonally or deliberately mixed. Two or three make an easy set; six make a feature wall.

Sizes, paper and framing

Every design is offered on archival matte paper in nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames, and on matte canvas either stretched on a wooden bar or set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. Printed with pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
