A figure sketch wall art print where a woman with a short russet bob looks out from behind heavy white paint strokes laid over khaki paper.
About the artwork
The head sits in the upper right third, the bob drawn in quick reddish-brown strokes and the face barely there: thin lines for the eyes and nose, turned slightly aside. Around her, broad patches of ivory paint cover most of the sheet, laid on in thick knife-like swipes that leave ridges and ledges. Between the patches the khaki ground shows through with faint washes of blue-gray and olive. A long white band crosses the bottom on a diagonal, closing the composition.
Why you'll love it
- A portrait in hiding. The face appears slowly between the white strokes.
- Warm neutral palette. Ivory, khaki and one touch of russet.
- Rich surface look. The heavy paint effect gives depth without clutter.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in a bedroom or reading corner where the half-hidden face can be discovered slowly. It suits linen, rattan and warm wood, and a natural or espresso frame brings out the russet hair. Pair it with a gray pencil study of profiles for a soft figure set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is it a portrait? Partly. A woman's head with a bob appears in the upper right, while the rest is abstract white paint.
Is the white paint raised? No, the thick paint is photographed and printed, so it hangs perfectly flat.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
